I wish I could have bought it for 31k at the time. I like the the flipper casually mentions the engine was rebuilt. BAT is a joke

Man... I missed that... the engine was explicitly not rebuilt. My website said that, my listing said that... and I gave compression values. Ugh.

Anyway, he's learning the lesson I learned. Restored Troopy's aren't gonna make the money. People who want Troopy's want the project... and they want to sub it out to the people of their choice for anything they don't do themselves.

Thanks for the intel. It's good info for anyone hunting things down.

I lost money on this truck. Even with the body/paint/upholstery done with Middle East labor rates, I had a lot of money into OEM parts on this truck.

I won't be doing another one restored like this unless I have someone buy up front to spec out a build.
