Parts list for Timing belt RR on 01 Sequoia (1 Viewer)

Hi folks,

I'll be replacing the Timing belt on my wife' sequoia and need to make sure I don't forget anything. I have done timing belts on 4 cylinders and on the 5vz, but never on the 2uz.

So far this is what I have

Timing belt
Belt Tensioner
Water pump
Drive belt
Thermostat
new coolant
new hoses

idler pulley for TB

I know that it is common to replace the fan bracket on the 1uz engines; is it also recommended for the 2uz?

That's a pretty solid list. I also recommend upgrading to a Goodyear Gatorback serpentine belt and possibly doing the serpentine belt tensioner as well.

I had to replace my wifes fan clutch too, but that is because it was beginning to lock up literally the day before I ordered my parts from Cdan.

Some people recommend doing the cam seals, but I didn't because they looked dry at 195K. They're worth a look while your in there, however. If they're dry, your good.

Other than that, it's a pretty good list. The 2UZ is pretty easy, just lots of crap has to come off. So if your organized, you're good.

Edit: I also recommend the idler pulleys.

I am well acquainted with getting parts from cruiserdan. I just figured I would ask the resident experts from this section before bothering him again.

I got an 01 tundra with 72k on it now.. so I will be doing this soon... well not that soon... but can you give me and est. on what you spent for those parts listed above.
