Guys,

I trying to get rid of my 1984 FJ60 and haven't had much luck. My question to you all is this...

Is there any swapping of axles or interchanging of FJ60 parts onto Toyota trucks or earlier FJ40's?

I only ask this because I'm waying the option of keeping the truck and using the parts on a future project.

Any help or advice is thankfully excepted.

Bob

Several parts should be able to be used on later model 40s, like the trans, transfer (maybe), short side axle shafts, the engine.

But why not just make the 60 the project?

Thanks Dan!!

I recently sold off my collection of early bronco's and have been converting to toyota's. I have the 60 and my DD is a 1987 4x4 Toyota Pick-up with the custom cab extension. I thought about building up the 60 but I like the simplicity (and the ability to buy a metal replacement tub) of the 40 series. The metal tub option (or lack of in the Ford's case) was the reason I sold the Broncos. I couldn't bring myself to put a glass body on it. The market seems to have slowed so I understand the reason the 60 isn't moving. I thought about putting the 60 axles under the truck if the swap would be easy and straight forward. I'm babbling now so I'll go away.

Thanks again!

Bob
