I did searches on fuel injectors, parts, seals, o-rings, and could not find the information I need. Lots of information on cleaning, balancing and checking electrically, which gives me more things to do for a complete engine rebuild.

So, the background…Rebuilding a ’89 3.0 V6. Got the general stuff cleaned, tanked etc. Now at a point to put the fuel injectors back in. As the intake was cleaned, the fuel injector seats (the large rubber like cup the fuel injectors mate into) no longer exist.

The overhaul gasket kit does not supply these; separate fuel injector “seal” kits do not supply these, Toyota could not find these. But they must be available. All the kits have o-rings and the other seals where the injector mates into the fuel rail, one kit had larger rings that almost fit the base of the injector, but even with it on the ejector, it did not come close to seal the base that goes into the intake.

Does anyone have a part number for these seats/seals/cups/grommets that the fuel injectors mate to in the intake? Even the proper name for these, perhaps Toyota can find them.

Thanks,

Did you try CruiserDan? He works for toyota too, but is probly one of the most knowledgeabe parts managers in toyota's history. Give him a ring.
Good luck,
Dan

Black plastic looking thing, refered to as a "spacer" The minor OD where it slips into the intake is about 25mm and it has a groove around it for an o-ring.

The spacer is a 90561-10002 and the o-ring around the outside is a 90301-23004.

List on the spacer is $7.34 a rattle and the o-ring $2.63 a rattle.
