Thanks Jon! Noticed that the transfer case shifts harder when the linkage is connected (i.e. actually shifting into and out of 4 hi/low) than when not. Is that to be expected? Outside of changing the transfer case oil, anything I should look into?
Well yea, you're now moving an internal slide collar in the transfer case and the lever on the transfer case is indexed with a spring loaded ball bearing, so that's going to add resistance. As long as you can shift with 2 fingers, you're fine.
If there's oil in the transfer case to start with, changing it won't make much of a difference in shift feel.
