I recently installed a Parrot CK3100 (handsfree) BT in my truck. Spliced into the front speakers (in the kick panel) wires for audio output. The microphone is near the rear view mirror so that it doesn't pick up excess road noise when in use. I used a relay (simple SPDT) to mute the external amp when a call comes in....mute from Parrot "grounds" the relay coil and breaks the amp turn connection. Parrot BT is an excellent product and everything works like a charm; except....the rear speakers connected to OEM amp continue to play when I used the BT. The wiring manual shows a "telephone mute" in the original harness going to the Radio. There is also a "mute" wire between the Radio and the OEM amp. Here is the schematic of the plug that goes to the back of the radio:

1 = amp turn on; blue
2 = ILL +
3 = ACC; blue/red
4 = Bat +; blue/white
5 = Mute; white
6 = FL; green
7 = FR; blue
8 = ANT turn on
9 = ILL (variable controlled by the dimmer)
10 = Telephone mute; red/green
11 = Power ground; Violet
12 = Signal ground; brown
13 = Beep; black
14 = RL; yellow
15 = RR; red

I measured voltage across pin 10. The multimeter shows 12V with almost no current when the radio is on. Can this wire be grounded to mute the output from the radio/OEM amp? Has anyone installed a Parrot BT or other device that required muting the Radio? How did you integrate this device with the OEM system?

Also, what is the function of pin #13 (beep, black wire)?

I measured voltage across pin 10. The multimeter shows 12V with almost no current when the radio is on. Can this wire be grounded to mute the output from the radio/OEM amp? Has anyone installed a Parrot BT or other device that required muting the Radio? How did you integrate this device with the OEM system?

Grounding pin 10 (telephone mute) did NOT mute the radio. Search continues!
