So i'm moving across Canada for two years and leaving my 40 behind. It will be parked under cover. Should I leave it ready to run (my parents could flash it up for me and drive it around the yard) or drain the gas, hide the keys and hope it fires up when i get back? I've never stored a vehicle for any length of time. Any insight is appreciated:beer:

Main thing is to get the gas out of the carb, but you would want to fill the tank to the top. The warming and cooling a gas tank that is low on gas will cause condensation and water build up. I would fill the tank to the top, disconnect the tank and run the carb dry. There is additives for the gas to keep it from going bad, but not sure how much that helps with the newer gas, but was required back in the 80's. Just google how to winterize a boat and it would give you good info. If you parents can start it up every month or so would by far be the best option.
