I know most of you have your MD plans already, but I think I am going to venture up to Bear River Res. and the Cole Creek area.

Maybe try to tackle the Pardoe or Emigrant trails one two days and do some backwoods camping.

Just me and my GF in Mons Rex so far.

If anyone is going to be around the area or is looking for something to do.

Drop me a line.

Dang thats in my backyard,

Skillet...how did the trip go? got pics? I'm really looking forward to heading up that way again this summer with my brothers.

This is a great place with TONS of NF roads to explore.

We went up early Saturday morning and, at first, it looked like we were out of luck with regards to good campsites but after a little searching, we found an awesome little spot that was possible only because of the RTT.

Here are a few pics from the weekend.

So you guys made it up to Salt Springs Resevoir? Looks really nice man, the best parts of the pardoe trail are just past where you turned around. Nice lookin' pics though, lkI bummed I didn't wheel this weekend at all. Let me know when you want to hit up again, Ken (450dude) is also eager to hit it up.

wow, looks like a great trip. I satisfied my itch with a short day trip to Cow Mountain with my brothers, but I love that area up off of Hwy 88. Lots of trails in the area. Thanks for the pics, Skillet!

great camping at mud lake as well, right up the road. nice pics btw!

Georg, I found Bear River Reservoir last year when I went to try to find Mud Lake after reading about the 45 run the year before, only to be told by the Ranger at the station that the road was closed due to snow. It was early July. I still want to explore Mud Lake :-)

I was on a search from Silver Lake all over Squaw Ridge and Bear Reservoir. This was last Sunday There was still spots of snow and mud. I am told the trail is still closed to the public. The gates were still locked anyway... (But we had special access.
