I am suffering from the exhaust drone on a 2013 LX570.

Has anyone tried the Paradox Mufflers on an LX570? They claim to eliminate drone, but from what I see elsewhere the only "fix" is to put on a Helmhotlz resonator like the dirty deeds kit; but to get that to Australia is over $3000, so checking some other options first.

The closest I found was this youtube video of dual mufflers on a 2012 Tundra which I expect is the same engine. The video suggests they ended up changing to a Corsa system, but they dont seem available for the LX570 either

What is your current exhaust setup?

From what I've gathered during my multiple exhaust setups (and now back to stock) is that the tundra even with same engine isn't a good indicator. Setups that did not seem to drone for a tundra definitely did for me.

Maybe find a custom exhaust shop and have them weld in a helmholtz resonator for you? I welded one onto mine and it helped a lot to kill drone in a particular RPM range, but then once that loudest drone range was gone I noticed I also droned at a different RPM as well. So I sadly went back to stock.

Have just replaced the centre muffler at the moment. Is too loud and the drone is terrible between 1000 and 2000rpm which is where the car likes to sit.

There is a good chance i will go back to stock, but would love to let the v8 roar a little when i floor it... the stock exhaust is too good

Stock is the only option for a 200 series 3UR. Everything else drones.

I am anxious to hear more from @sreyes1103

He installed one of these.

I think that tip is awful. Curious to hear how it sounds though.

The 14” inch BA Muffler doesn’t necessarily drone, it’s just louder than stock.

That’s really the best exhaust option right now for the 200, aside from OEM.

What about chopping off the stock muffler/resonator and dumping just past the rear axle? I've heard people say this doesn't change the volume or tone appreciably? Am I going to hate towing my trailer up long grades with this mod?

TIL. I heard even that one droned. Good to know!

Yeah I've heard some say the dirty deeds BA muffler drones and some say it doesn't. Given that enough people say it does I'd guess it likely does but a little. Enough that some are happy and some won't be.

It’s not necessarily a drone, but you can hear the exhaust while on the highway. It’s subtle and a nice exhaust note, but nothing that is annoying. I like it actually.

Stock is really the only option if you want a nearly silent note on the highway.

I destroyed my resonator off road so I chopped it off just past the rear axle and drove around like that for 2 years before I finally had a shop dress it up and dump it out the side on the back of the rear tire. I could not hear any discernible difference at all with/without the resonator. I did hate the way it looked though.

It doesn’t drone at least to me, just louder than stock but makes you hear fast but feel slower from the sound lol.

Regarding the tip, it’s just limp and in the end you can’t even see it lol and I think I am getting worse gas.

Sound clips? Would love inside and outside the cabin, driving, flyby, WOT etc.
