I figured I would post a couple of pictures for those that are interested in cleaning up their roll bar pads and giving them a fresh paint job. The PO had about three different colors that had over-sprayed onto my pads. My guess is that they will work for lower dash pads as well but I have not tried that yet. Here is a picture before I painted them and one during. I will post the final after I put a third and final coat on them tonight. Here is the paint I used, Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover X2 Paint and Primer. I bought it because it was on sale for $2.99 and said it would stick to plastic.

Did the gloss go down after they were finished and dried?

Yes the gloss is pretty mild. Here are the final results. The paint seams to stick to it just fine, even when I try to flex the foam.

Nice! I used the same paint for my door panels and it held up better than the upholstery paint I got at Pepe' boys. I did however use plasti dip spray for my roll bar pads and it's held up. Nice looking rig bye the bye.
