I just masked and painted a few parts and was wondering if I should peel the mask off now as the paint dries or after it has set up and is no longer tacky? Thanks for the input.

I usually pull the mask off half way thru it's tackiness. Just make sure not to put a fingerprint in whatever you are painting. I don't know if this is the best, but it works for me. Also, if you wait for the paint to dry, it will "seal" the tape to the part and will pull the paint off the part when you go to remove the said tape.

remove it once it is no longer tacky to prevent the tape/paper/fingers from gouging your new paint but before it is completely set up
