Cute LX Pimp. Amazing it's still for sale.
That's how mine looked when I bought it.

Arleaux - I know about the pinkish tint you're talking about. The wife's LX is champagne colored and has the same color trim pieces.

When I yanked my panels and flares, I went with black, but here are some other color combinations if you want some options. Bear in mind that it will look a little different w/o the flares and the contours of the panels, but it should give you an idea.

Personally, I prefer the darker versions. I've seen a grey on white version -- that looks really nice too.

Doug,
Thanks alot that, helps tremendously.
I'm partial to the light metalic green pic, but I'm thinking about a darker shade.

I really like the black on yours w/ the REAL Bumpers. I plan on going that route eventually. But in the interim w/ the stock trim, I want to have a little fun with it and do somethin different.

Preciate your work.

Doug looks like you are pretty good with that photo chopping...could you do a sample in a sage/olive/army/xterra green?

I didn't do those -- they were done by a buddy of mine. That said, I could've done it, but I need to reload photoshop on my home pc -- I had to install a new drive the other day...

so to make a lame excuse even lamer...I don't think I'd get to it any time soon...
perhaps someone else can whip one out fast?

2 more that I didn't add before..."funky" multi-colored options.

I want to see a vehicle with the last two colors combined...trim say the gay green (not that there is anything wrong with that), and the rest of the vehicle the wierd orangeish/redish, beets/orange-juice throwup one.. :D

Landpimp,
Your pic shows the color a little better, & thats what I'm tryin to get away from.

Am I the only one that sees the pink glow ?

Mines' the same color....I don't notice it..

Thats great photoshop skills. The 80 looks really good with no flares, or is the extra lexus stuff off.
Arleaux, I see the pink. its ment to look pretty. I agree would look good in black. would look good with the pearl colour.

With the Lexus, it's pretty much an all or nothing deal. The flares sort of blend in with the body panels. If you remove the flares, the only parts that COULD remain on would be on the doors and on the very end of the rear quarter panel. I think it would look very half-assed that way.

I yanked all the plastic body panels off all around with a few exceptions. I left the strip on the rear tailgate. I should've removed it, but ran out of time and would've had to remove the rear bumper in order to properly spray the liner on that spot. I currently have it painted with a white primer and will go over that with black (as soon as it gets dry enough and calm (i.e. not windy) enough to spray).

How much does it cost to Sprayliner like that? I love it.

Prices will vary from place to place -- mine was $400.

Just out of curiousity, what product did they or you use? i.e. what bed liner stuff?

It's a local company called Tuff-Coat. I don't know which specific product they applied, but I'll check with him next time I stop by. He sells various truck accessories too.

Some other guys I know had Superliner (brand) applied to their 80s. It turned out very well.
