I've seen several people mention this kit to solve the notorious click no start problem that is endemic to our old rigs. Figured I'd document the process with photos in case any one else is on the fence.
Overall this mod is easy, but time consuming. I'd allocate three hours so you don't rush yourself and break parts. A basic understanding of electrical wiring is all that's needed.

Hot Shot 30202 Install Questions
Tools:
metric sockets
wire cutter/stripper
Soldering iron (not necessarily required, but good to have for mistakes or to make better connections)
Parts:
Hot Shot Kit Part No 30202
S1 pigtail connector
Wire loom or wrap
Various heat shrink tubing
Extra electrical connectors (butt connectors and ring terminals, in case you break one)
Dielectric grease
Steps:
Disconnect battery cables. Remove front DS tire for easier access to starter.
I started by mounting the relay to the firewall. Make sure to sand down the area for a solid ground. I coated the area with dielectric grease to mitigate corrosion.
Next route the three wires from the hot shot kit relay down towards the starter, along the transmission dip stick or towards the PS of the brake booster. The goal here is to measure the wiring and cut off the excess. If you're inpatient like me, you'll get the joy of trying to stuff extra wiring in the loom or cutting it out and splicing later on.
Splice the S1 pigtail you purchased with the THICK purple wire. The kit has butt connectors, you'll need to provide shrink wrap. The S1 connector is the trigger wire (OEM black/red) that plugs into the top of the starter. It should be obvious when you look at the starter, there is only the direct positive battery feed and the S1 connection.
Remove the OEM S1 connector from the starter and plug in the spliced thick purple wire. Here's the OEM configuration:
Now you'll need to CUT OFF the factory connector from the S1 red/black wire. This will be spliced into the THIN purple wire in the hot shot relay:
