The truck drives fine. I'm at 362,000 miles. It th

It threw some SAI codes 4500 miles ago, and I've got the Hewitt kit on the way.

Today it threw a P2714 code, and now I'm confused.

I'm not opposed to doing a valve body on this.

Thoughts?

I just bought a 2013 (176k miles) with the same code, currently at the shop and so far they recommended doing a drain/fill and keep driving for now. Interested in what others say.

My carfax only showed a flush from toyota at 145k miles so Im wondering if that caused the code to pop up since then.

Had some code and a drain and fill didn’t do anything. Digging in further this week as there’s zero reman 6 speeds from Toyota nationwide

Did you have any other codes?

Bummer hopefully were not in the same boat but other forum posts seem to point to a new transmission.

P2714 and the occasional P0761. Symptom is holding 3rd until it warms up if it’s cold outside

I bought a magnefine filter for the low side of the trans cooler, and I’m going to put another pan fluid exchange through it.

If it comes back, I'll go ahead and get on the list for a transmission and new torque converter. I'll be about $5000 into a replacement and we really like the truck. I was envisioning far more.

  1. Transmission
    $3,119.90
    Part # 35010-60B80-84
  2. Rear Main Seal Retainer
    $63.47
    Part # 11381-0S010
  3. Engine Crankshaft Seal (Rear)
    $43.05
    Part # 90311-95013
  4. Converter Assembly Torque
    $951.75
    Part # 32000-60340

I'm not shocked at all. There is a $1000 core charge on the transmission that's not listed.

Trans comes with torque converter

Going rate at several shops for the job when I checked was about $6000. If you can get it done for $5k at a shop you trust, jump on it.
