P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire (5 Viewers)

Now for the current frustration I'm dealing with, getting a P0306 misfire code. The first time it popped up, it started running really poorly, rough idle and still ran rough even at speed. I've changed the ignition coil and all 8 spark plugs which took care of it for about 2 weeks, and it re-appeared today!


Today it re-appeared, with a slight rough idle at startup but it seems to drive fine. Troubleshooting continues, this particular truck is making it hard to love hah!

Any thoughts, inputs or suggestions would be helpful.

2008 Land Cruiser, 208k miles, 5.7l 3UR-FE.
 
Ugh, check for coolant in that cylinder.
Yeah that's what I'm worried about this point, I suppose it's possible it's an injector issue? But not sure which is more likely at this point.

I may just take it in for a professional diagnosis at this point.
 
I think a compression check/coolant (hg) issue is here. 😬

Buy a $25 borescope from Amazon to use with your phone. Pull the plugs for #6 and #8 and post some photos of what you see.

And hope what you see is different than this—
