p/s pump on H engine (1 Viewer)

Hey guys

Ive started a body off job on my hj45.One of the many modifications im doing is a power steer.Ive got the box and all linkages sorted.My problem is where to mount the pump.I thought it would be simple as simple can be but I just cant figure out where to put it.
Thought someone might have an H with pump.

Stoopid question I know but I need some ideas

Tez you maybe able to bolt it up like the 2H
I think the VP is the P/S pump

check with Mark at Mark's Off Road 65swb45 (on this site). he's got an hj45 but I don't recall if it has factory power or not.

in my 2H engine ( same block with H engine ) the PS pump comes down in the block at passenger side.

A few months back, a buddy of mine wanted PS on his HJ 45. We´ve tried a lot of stuff to fit a pump, but decided to swap in a 12H-t.
I know it's not the answer what you're looking for, but there is no easy way to just bolt on a pump.
You might need make a custom bracket somewhere on the engine to make one work with your current H. Or swap in a 2H out of a later 47 series.

My 2H in HJ60 is on the right (passenger side) down low on the block and the resivor is mounted on the passenger side fender well. In the diagram my is exactly like the 2H pictures.

I can help you with pics, as we are doing a mini PS swap to an HJ45 (Sheela). I need to go to the shop to take the pics, but as soon as I have them, I will post. This is definitely a home made job though!

I have started mounting my pump,I have put it where the fuel filter goes,just need to get another pulley.It seems pretty solid so hopefully works alright.
Is a minitruck another name for a hilux? Ive used hilux pump and box.
