I drove 7 hours round trip last week to work with Jason at Ozark Overland Outfitters in West Plains Mo. I can say this was the best experience I have ever had with a shop. I showed up at 8:00am and they got me out the next day. The amount of work Jason completed was staggering and the quality was great. As one example, I’ve attached a pic of how they integrated my light force driving lights into my stock lights. With both switches on, the Lightforce daylight led ring is always on. When I hit the brights, the main leds come on. Or the switches can be turned off individually to just run stock lights or access each of the modes. And they installed Slees upgraded harness. The shop that originally installed the lights had just used a manual switch with no integration to the lights. What a change. Among the other work they did was the removal of the stock roof rack (used Wit’s end kit) and mounted the ARB rack. They also baselined the truck, performed some fixes and provided me with a list of other needed services I can do on my own or come back to them. I cannot say enough about these guys. ozark overland outfitters - https://ozarkoverlandoutfitters.com/

I have to say you are lucky to have gotten in. That guy is as busy as a one armed paper hanger. Great guy though. Always a lot of eye candy to see parked in and around his shop. I feel lucky to have him in my back yard

Just wanted to bump this. Although I wasn't a customer of his, my customer spoke extremely highly of Jason and raved about his abilities with Land Cruiser's and professionalism. I hope to be a customer of his in the future.

Glad to hear the positive feedback.
I'm bringing my 60 to him in a few weeks for a drivetrain swap. May bring my 80 to him as well sometime down the road for a couple projects.

If you don’t mind me asking how much was the drive train swap? I am near and looking for different shops to do a H55F swap if possible at least in Arkansas it seems like we don’t have as many options as either coasts do.

Generally speaking, it’s best to contact the shop directly.

There are no a la carte prices for things like drivetrain swaps.

I understand that but it’s nice to know a rough ball park, I know some tend to range from X to Y depending on the shop but I understand it all comes down to the vehicle and it’s specific needs and what the customer wants.

Pretty much what @OGBeno said. There are a lot of options, do you want a brand new LS3 from GM? Or a junk yard GM V8? And there is a lot of "while you're in there" type of things you can do as well.

On my FJ60 I went with a new LS3 6.2 430hp crate engine. I wanted everything to look as OEM and clean as possible with the swap. My truck already had the H55f, so we re-used it since it was pretty much like new, so that saved some $$. Front axle was just rebuilt too. We used the Marks/Advance Adapters GM/H55f kit and a lot of the Mosley and CruiserMatt's LS solution parts, SpeedHut gauges, and custom exhaust.

Along with the drivetrain swap we decided to strip and respray the engine bay, replace the fuel tank with new OEM, refresh the steering with a brand new 105 box. And my truck needed a couple things like the heater core leaking addressed behind the dash, and several other small things. Every truck would be different in this regard of course.

I cannot recommend Jason enough and dealing with him has been a real pleasure. His labor rate is very resonable for the expertise you are getting. I can say after doing it the way I did, I would set aside $40-$50k.

I would reach out to them with your specific needs and goals for your truck and he can help narrow it down.

Any chance the white LS H55f 60 was yours?
😮‍💨😰🤤

It is! Almost done and looking forward to getting it back hopefully soon!

To say you are going to love this rig is a 200% understatement. It is sooo fantastic.
I was fortunate to stare at it for a bit.
