Hi all,

How can I make sure the Oxygen sensors are working properly. Is there any way to tell without pulling them out?

Thanks for your help.

Is there a code being thrown? I not they're working correctly. They do tend to get lazy late in life but if they're within spec you won't get a light.

02 sensors either work or they don't work. They will loose their efficiency to monitor over time. As so as it gets out if range it will throw a code. Very easy to replace. A cheap adjustable and some gloves and you will be done in 15 minutes per side.

It didn't throw code. That means o2 sensor working properly. I won't touch it. Thanks

Thats some good luck right there^^^.

Mine started life in MI, and when I installed the DT headers I replaced the sensors but decided to pull the old ones from the manifolds....
Vice, and torch did not get the job done and I gave up, now have spare manifolds with semi-permanent old sensors still installed. I didn't need'em so I gave up easy,it could still get done some rainy day.

I know it should be easy but I think it's worth pointing out that it could also be a miserable PITA depending on the age and use of your truck.

Yeah, and if you have fat hands... not so much.

I had to get my wife under there to replace the front ones. As I recall, the back ones are much easier.
