I just ordered! Ordered the arb compressor mount too. Going to solve two issues with my newly aquired 100.
That’s why I love this site. Great idea and execution. Can’t wait to get them in the truck!

OK. I went a little bit different route. I ordered the Ram Mount but immediately did not like it’s bulkiness just for my phone. Since I have a magnetic phone case, I just grabbed a piece of angle out of scrap and used that. Worked perfect!
If I ever want to run more media options I can switch it up.

Using a 3/8” dremel bit I enlongated the hole- this now allows a larger / more secure Type C ball to be mounted.

I'm trying to adapt my C-size as well. How has yours held up, what tablet are you running? Does it stay pretty solid?
>> Also, can you share what style ball you used? Mine doesn't have a way to thread into an opening like that, it's just got two small holes for mounting with little m4 screws.

Mine is holding up great, no problems. I have an 8” Samsung table and use this Type C ball:

Nice, that's awesome. I also just spoke with RAM and said they do make a B to C adapter but it's best to always have the bigger ball on the mount and not the device. Since my device is a bit larger and I have it setup for a C-size, I think I will just open that hole up like you did and rig it up.

I have the bencc creation that takes the place of the blank panel on the dash. It works great for hwy use but with the heavy tablet it's sketchy on bumpy roads. I also have the floor mount which bolts to the seat frame and that sucker is solid but it's just too bulky and I can't adjust the passenger seat much.

I'm getting ready to finally put a system together before an upcoming road trip. I have had the mount installed for several years now, but haven't purchased the addition parts to complete my setup.

Recently upgraded to a new phone (S22 Ultra), after not a having a new phone for almost 5 years. Man, what a difference!

Does anybody have experience with the S22 Ultra (in an Otterbox clear case) fitting in the Ram RAM® Quick-Grip™ Waterproof Wireless Charging Holder with Ball? I measured the phone in case and it is right at the upper limit (possibly 1/16" over) of what the specs say will fit.

If that ends up not working I may go with the RAM Mounts Quick-Grip XL Phone Holder with Ball RAM-HOL-PD4-238AU with B Size 1" Ball. I was hoping to incorporate wireless charging, now that I possess that technology, but it's not the end of the world if the phone won't fit in the above holder.

I'm also trying to work in a second ball mount for my iPad Air 2. I'm hoping it's not too heavy for this setup. On that note, I did a preliminary test run with the iPad plugged into the outboard most 12V plug running Google Maps for upwards of 2 hours. I noticed that the iPad battery was still being drained slowly and not maintaining a charge. I'll admit I'm using some cheapo USB plug right now. Not being the most brilliant when it comes to electrical engineering, I'm wondering if something like this Anker USB C Car Charger will work for charging both phone and tablet without causing some unforeseen problem from my end?

Finally got mine installed today. I had originally planned to install the SL3B and the Owl mount at the same time but it didn’t end up working out. I’m now an expert at taking the dash apart!

Overall pretty easy and I’m only a  wrench. Be careful with the little plastic clips on the side. I pulled a bit too hard on the first one and it ended up breaking off on the final install.

The mount does appear to be pretty solid. Now I need to order the accessories! Thanks again!!
I guess it's been nearly 5 years...😱

Here we go! Fine tuning the setup on a road trip to the Upper Peninsula of MI.

I can't believe I waited so long to do this. I think I had a few more steps in my 06 than the instructions accounted for, although I may have just been reading too fast.

2 screws, one on either side of this lower bracket at the back of the unit:

One screw in the middle of the unit (between the tape deck and screen):

All buttoned up and USB cord slotted through the ventilation grates. I removed two of the grate posts with a rotary tool to fit the wire:
