The J201 build is really cool..The Lexus J201 Overland Concept is both Beauty and Beast - Overland Bound
The Lexus J201 is an overland ready vehicle designed to conquer the most demanding trails, and does it in typical Lexus style.
That said, I would have liked it to be written less like a marketing ad, and more like a real world review
Starting to see more and more of these reviews coming out for the J201 that was built and raced awhile ago. Must be Lexus warming up the potential market for the upcoming LX600 and LX750H.
I'm glad to see AHC recognized for the technology that it is. Both in publications and on these forums. Not just for mall crushing duty. As mentioned, the J201 was run hard in the 10-day, 1,600-mile Rebelle Rally. In heavy overlanding form no less. That takes performance and robustness to perform in a long rally like that, and from my own experience, it's up to task. The article quotes 4.8" total lift. Pair that with more aggressive 35" tires as several of us on the boards have, and that that's almost 6" lift. With no significant compromise to on-road performance.
Looking forward to the 300-series LX announcements.
