Having it at the Biltmore this year. YOU will want to go this year. I'm planning on being a vendor this year and will most likely throw a big party Sat night in my space. It would be cool to get everyone from the club to come to this event.

Have they announced the location or is it only for VIPs at the moment? Please not at the Biltmore House.
Loll "upstate cruisers makes national news after destroying the grounds at the historic Biltmore estates". One person going by the name gimpey was overheard saying"watch this"!

I have a friend who's a driving instructor there and he said they have miles of trails on the property. I need to hit him up for a tour.

I plan on making it this year.

Good to hear that the new venue will be fun! I have to say regardless of venue it is an event not to be missed. WORLD class machinery and training in our own backyard! I haven't missed one yet and don't plan on missing this one. If you haven't been before you owe it to yourself to go once just to see a 70 series that has traveled 7 continents, walk inside of an Earthromer or see a vehicle that has a 3rd winch mounted on the back just for the huge spare tires. The Camel Trophy lead courses are mind blowing. Those guys are the real deal.

Even if you don't take a single course and just show up to look at everyone's setups and share experiences it is an amazing opportunity. At a minimum it's like cars and coffee for men who travel the country/continent/world (or just simply want to) in cruisers and rovers (and other cool stuff)! Last year I found myself on a YZF250 for the first time ever in the midst of "the great flood" getting some primo tutelage free of charge around the campfire LOL. Still a little surprised I didn't dump it once. Not to mention a late night campfire guest who had ridden her KLR from Alaska to South America. If anyone wants an awesome read on that trip Becky had a killer thread on ADV rider and even speaks of Expo East her thread.

For those of you who have attended CFW, SEES had a group camp site and we had an absolutely great time despite some rough weather. As I told the organizers if weather is a deterrent for an OE attendee, you might need a new passion LOL.

As a follow up here's some pics from the first OE East and this past years also to give a taste of some of the cool toys:

With this expert rigging courtesy of a Camel Trophy Team member I watched a 5 year old SAFELY hand pull a Disco up a 5% grade...

This was me and @cboyd this past year. We interlocked our awnings to better help with the cough, cough "drizzle"...

When will the location be announced? I may try to make this one.

Not what I thought. Didn't think they would up the game that much.

It will be interesting to see if the OEE pass will include admission to the grounds or if attendees will have to pay a reduced entrance fee. It will not affect me as my family has season passes.

I bet the Overland Experience will include it with the others having an option as an add-on.

How much is the million dollar question!

I would expect the price would be comparable to oew plus some fee to get on the bilmore property. I hope it's discounted from the normal ticket price for everyone who does not have a season pass

Count us in!

I went to the first one and aside from the rain it was pretty good. I was there for all three days and had a pretty good camping spot but once the rains settled in there were some less than ideal traction conditions.
This is part of the reason the venue has changed.
It is not cheap to attend the whole thing but some of the classes were very well worth it. I would expect nothing but a good time with all that is offered and Marshall having a vendor spot and party.
@tabraha 's pictures are just a smidge of the cool stuff you will see. Not to mention the folks you meet.
I camped next to a guy who drove his Tacoma down from Maryland. We got to talking one night and turns out he rode his bike (bicycle!) from France to Vietnam.
I hate I won't be there this year.
