It's the OEM set-up in Japan (some came w/o them, too).

BTW, the comment in my first post was directed to IdahoDoug. ;)

Hope nobody was hurt. What a shame!

Hey, I've got a used pair and 5 sets of new ones and they are looking for new homes. :D

You have the fronts already? If not, I can usually get them cheaper if I get them together.

Nice pic Mot, Anything you can salvage?
Have fun

Brian,

They want 500,000 yen for the whole vehicle ($5k) or they will sell whatever parts you want.

It's a little too far for me to go take a look, but they can usually ship heavy stuff, too.

That really hurts...Mot, hey the IPF HID foglights still looks good...hmmm... any thoughts maybe? Watch the little tiny cameras  :flipoff2:dont get caught -better say mission impossibles  but you know how much that thing cost heh? $1100.00 US dollars :D

Not sure if those aux. lights are IPF HID, but if they were it might be worth it to get the whole rig and part it out, eh?

Yikes - A pillars once again - it would be nice if they were a bit biefier.

What's the thing on the roof - above rear sliding windows? Looks to be on both the RS and LS?

Cheers, Hugh

You know, if it were on just the right side as you can see it clearly, I might have said maybe it got scorched as it rolled/slid on that particular part (I know that sounds far fetched), but for them to be on the both side, mirror image... I don't know.

I wonder how we might be able to get some grubby paws on a OEM Tire carrier here......Tell me more? Take a special bumper?

Maybe it had a wing, and thats how it rolled. Too much down force flipped it :)
I'm thinkin maybe it was for some sort of roof mount or rack?
BTW those are some nice deep dished rims. Know what brand?

The carrier is mounted to the quarter panel in the same manner as 90-91 4Runners were. The quarter is different and there is a bunch of inner stiffening structure inside the quarter. The tail gate is also reinforced to take the latching bits.

The Slee carrier is much stronger and by the time you buy all the OEM bits and cut your vehicle apart it would be cheaper too.

I call dibs on the console cooler (with a/c lines).

And Slee's is much less likely to damage the rear tailgate in a minor collision, since its attached to the bumper instead of the body.
