Well...I just had the truck inspected and it's needing new rotors. I've never had to order parts from CDAN before and I'm not sure if he can do overnight delivery. Can he?
I've done both front and rear rotor orders from the Shaman. He won't dispappoint you. Overnight on that weight will kill any price advantage I'd think.
There is no finer or better source for OEM parts, period. I speak from plenty of personal experiance with Dan and his people.
x3 Dan is the man to go too. Especially if you are not 100% sure of the problem or parts you may need.
In this case you should just bite the bullet and buy them local as stated above the shipping would offset any savings. With items of weight like this you will likely even pay more. Most dealers can get something like rotors next day if you order before 1 or 2 from the local wharehouse. I seem to remeber Norwalk Toyota being a big presence in the OEM parts biz.
Another side note to speak of cdans class. He recently turned me away when I called him for some gaskets saying it would cost me more to get them from him with shipping than to get them local. Good man.
If it's just rotors get them local, especially if you're going to have to have them overnighted from CDAN...he's awesome but doesn't work magic like that.
Well for chemical touch up paint I deal with my buddy parts manager in El monte - Longo Toyota and other liquid stuff like Toy red antifreeze I got them from Symes Toy in pasadena, Symes toyota in pasadena charged me wholesale price.
Feel your pain man. I just had to order tie rod ends and relay rod ends from local dealer due to time constraints. Basically ended up being ~$150 difference, or 50% difference in price. Ouch.
