I pulled off the transmission tunnel last night to access the factory location for the back up lights switch. It's there but there is no place to hook wires into. It's like the studs that should be there for wire have been cut off or something by a PO.

If it's not on the column anywhere since I have floor shift, is there some other way it could have been mounted? Or should I just order a replacement and put it in the factory location? Rock auto had em for $40 bucks or so plus shipping.

I'll go through the old harness tonight and see if I can find the right color wires for the switch and try and have that help me narrow it down.

Back up switch is located on the 4spd transmission top cover.

The wires missing is not something new.

Install a new switch.

but.....P.O's never snip wires and hide things......

Dang, well I guess it could have been me but I sure don't remember doing that. I certainly know I didn't do it from the top side...

I just know they used to work.

I'll get another switch. Anyone got a good used one?
