OTC Rear Bearing SST Discontinued

I was hoping to do the rear bearings on my '97 this week. I was able to order everything from CDan except the SST which is back-ordered. I was planning on going the OTC route (I don't have access to a welder right now). I called OTC today to order part 6064 (Toyota bearing wrench), but they said it has been discontinued and none remain in stock. Is there any other way to source the bearing SST, or am I waiting for CDan to replenish is stock?

SPX/Kent-Moore/OTC manufactures the tool for Toyota. So either OTC has quit selling it to the consumer, or more likely it's been totally discontinued and that's why Dan shows it on backorder? The truck that uses it has been out of production for 8 years, that sounds about right for Kent-Moore. Try calling SPX/Kent-Moore's tech services, 1-800-533-6127.

No, sorry man, I'm in CO, but if i send the thing tomorrow tuesday, you should have it by the weekend at the latest. I'm sure you prolly want one of your own but if it is something where the axle NEEDS the work, and you need the tool, mi toolos es su toolos!

I ordered two of the 6064 on Friday. Guy from the outfit I ordered them from called me at work today to tell me fugettaboutit.

After sitting on hold for about a half-hour (twice!) I finally got through to the tech folks at OTC (customer service was not doing me any good).

The tech I talked to instant messaged the Product Manager and the PM promised to dig around and see if there were any stashes of the 6064 tool left.

I am supposed to call back tomorrow to find out if there are any. I will buy whatever is available, up to maybe 10 or so, and will make them available at cost to forum members.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, though. Doesn't look too promising. I honestly don't expect to get any.

You might ask the product manager what the minumum qty would be such that they would manufacture another batch.
