Hell all, I am new hear, but not new to cruisers. Been driving my BJ70 daily for 4 years and finally am giving it the attention it deserves. There are few of us in the state who have these so I figure I would post my build. Current Specs:

85 BJ70, 3B with AXT Turbo. H55 with rebuilt tcase. Toyota tundra seats, with armrest....OOOOO! Shackle reversal front, drop hangers 4.5" lift. Chevy 63" leaves in rear. 33" BFG Mud terrains.

It has been great as it is but body work, air conditioning, an aluminum radiator, intercooler, rear jump seats, and a rear spring over have been long overdue.

More Pics on Progress will follow. I appreciate all comments and insight. Out of curiosity has any run a spring under in the front and spring over in the rear on a 70?

Surveyor,

I'm down in NorCal & have done virtually every mod possible incl AXT, AC and rad on my 87 BJ70....would be glad to offer insight and give you some pitfalls to avoid. For the AC, the LHD 70 series evap case is essential & will be the toughest part to find.

As for SUA up front and SOA in the rear, I don't see it working....going SOA in the rear even with flat stock springs is going to give you 5-6" of lift so youde have a severe lift discrepancy between the F & R.

Cheers

x2 If you have a sagging rear when fully loaded ,some helper springs or HD springs is the way to go
