Good friends of mine are parting ways with a very clean 60 series. Only selling due to a death in the family - vehicle has been well loved for many years. Only mod I know of is the 5-SPD conversion.

It's my favorite. They store it next to their light aircraft at a hanger, and I still think it's the best looking vehicle, wings or no wings.

Talked to the owner, nice guy and straight shooter. Unfortunately for me, it has a Federal smog cert, and I’m in California. It can be smogged here in Ca. but it’s a gamble. He’s firm on the price.

mine was a federal smog and I have passed smog twice already!

Yeah Jorge, I know it’s possible but just looking at the photos I see tape on the air cleaner intake and owner states new catalytic converter , probably not a Cali approved. I’d consider it but not at 16K.

I have an interest in this one. What info did you get from the owner? Hey Jorge, in the market so if you find a solid '85-87 60 let me know! Thanks.

Owners replies promptly via the Craigslist post. Stored for years in a heated aircraft hangar. Belonged to his brother who passed away, serviced at Land Cruisers NW , I believe they are in Portland. Original except for the H55. Firm as of now on the posted price of $16k.

Thanks Mike. I think I'll try contacting the owner on this one.
Spanto, I think this one is a better buy than that red one in Billings, FWIW.

Even despite the higher mileage? When am I generally looking at an engine rebuild?
If the owner has a relationship with Land Cruisers NW I’d call them. I’d have them do a pre-purchase inspection that includes a compression test.

Land Cruiser NW is a reputable shop in Portland. I have had them work on previous vehicles. A phone call to them is a great idea!
