... damn. I tried.
(Full disclosure: my '06 was a non-AHC truck)

Mate, I've been eyeing your setup for my build. Really love the steelies with the skinnies but am worried about the sidewall loss and weight gain with this setup. I found the perfect 17's I want but they're on back order and I really want something asap as my tires are pretty much bald so I thought I'd check with you about how it is living with this config.
I am in NorCal and we have a lot of rocky stuff and trails out here so here's what I'm curios to know;
- Tire pressure you run off-road
- Chances of popping a bead (since the 16 guys make it sound like it's day and night difference with an 18)
- Affect of the added weight on acceleration and handling of the vehicle (Not bothered about gas mileage)
- Max tire size I can run with those wheels on stock height with front TB's cranked up
From the posts in this thread I see you recommend the Ironman FCP setup and I was thinking of giving them a call to check for availability, apparently there are no lift height torsion bars available atm nationwide due to the supply chain disruption. It says the lift height is 2 inches vs the 2.5 by OME lifts, is that a true measure or are they pretty much the same height when installed?
Cheers!
