Ordering longfield axles, real time help!

Here is the deal:

I have a front FJ60 that is built (30 spline longs/inners, geared, ARB, hub gears..etc.)

I want to tear it down and just stuff my 40 axle with the guts and good stuff. Saves me time and work and I'll be adding IFS hubs to make up for the rear 60 I put in.


Question is...I know I will need at the very least, inner axles. Which ones? Will I need the short side or long side..or both?

I called Bobby, he said short side. I was going to order but he was out in the shop and busy, said his wife would call me back. I wanted to confirm before I place the order since I want to finish up my FJ this weekend in time for a trail ride.

You will need the long side if you are going to put the 60 series stuff into a 40 series housing....


The short sides are the same length.
