1 week up in Oregon at Umpqua Lighthouse state park.

Made the mistake of letting my 8 yr old drive the 80. The 6yr old had to sit on my lap... 1st video is the 1st time ever that my 8yr old had driven a 4wd.

http://www.taskled.com/temp/phase1.wmv (14 Meg) (18psi tyres dry sand)
http://www.taskled.com/temp/phase2.wmv (8.8 Meg) (35psi tyres moist sand - had drizzled a bit)

That's awesome. You're lucky he came back. :)

My three year old LOVES when he can sit on my lap when we pull the truck in from the street to the garage. We've had a couple close calls with the garage wall.

Cool video. I bet he was smiling from ear to ear all day long.

First time I got to drive was 13 in a gravel parking lot when my buddies older brother tossed me the keys. :grinpimp: Then he got in the car and we launched the car off a rail road track bump/crossing with us in it going about 50mph and got completely airborne and landed hard bottoming out. I was scared sh*tless.

Yep, the 8yr old loved driving. Probably drove for about 20 minutes the first day.

I do have the manual throttle control in our 80 - but the 8yr old could reach the accelerator & brake just fine with the seat foward. He's reasonably tall for his age, so no problems there.

The 6yr old was on my lap - so I was the throttle & brake control for him :D He was the wilder one - loved driving through the water.

I'm sure both of them can't wait till we return there next year!

that's cool! I've done that with my 9 and 6 year-old daughters. My 9 year old drives with me in the pass seat, in 4-lo, 1st, and my hand on the e-brake. 6 yo on my lap. BIG smiles, tons of laughs...

I guess we have to get more people to buy your LEDs, and you can pass on the 80 to the little guys. My truck is maxed out with George's LEDs so I'll pass the word on. George's LED's are great and George is a great guy to deal with. He even answered questions that I had about others LEDs. Thanks George

My daughter took the wheel of my old Toyota PU on the parents farms at age 2 - LOVES the drivers seat of that the DC Tacoma and the Landcruiser. She is now 3 and I just recently had the LC in the shop for front axle PM - "Daddy, we've got to go get the LandCruiser!"

That's excellent! My three year (see avatar) old lives to sit on my lap and drive on the sand. He uses the back of my right calf as the gas pedal. Gives me a pretty good burn there.

Geroge,

Very cool. They'll never forget this weekend in Oregon.
Neither will you.

I think you've oped up a can of worms. My boys are nine and seven, they just saw the video and want to drve our cruiser. I guess this weekend we will be hitting the trail.
:censor:

That was fun. I was smiling almost as much as the boys!

I let my son drive when we are out at the hunting lease. He never passes up a chance to drive the cruiser.
