Hi everyone, new mud member and first time 80 owner of a thoroughly mistreated LX450 based out of Iron Station, 15 minutes west of Denver and an hour northwest of Charlotte. I'm told this is the proper place to introduce myself. And I suppose a pic of Burt is in order. So, howdy!

Here's yon much compressed picture of Burt. So named after Burt Gummer. For those of you who get it, a toast to questionable taste in movies!

Welcome to mud! We'd love to have you come out to an event so we can meet you!

That sound's like loads of fun, I have to get everything squared away so Burt can make it haha. More than willing to go learn to wrench on something, and the in/outs of wheeling. My second outing at Uwharrie tried to do a 3-pt turn on a trail on the side of a hill while straddling a berm and almost lost the passenger runner :)

The running boards are the first to go...................

Depends on how far you go with it

I kept a Ford Taurus going for 300k, sold it to a buddy, and apparently it's still going strong. Figure I'll get Burt mechanically sound, then focus on the sound system, and keep it till he dies. Then throw a diesel in it and keep going. With some 'slight' mods for expedition camping across the US. I hear California has some nice sunsets.

Welcome, Chris! Nice homage to Burt Gummer - if you ever buy a 40, you must name it Hiram. Or Reba. Anyhow, very nice looking LX ya got there. You're definitely in the right place for folks who love their 80's.

Guys, let's keep this to ONSC Membership questions and related info. Welcome, but let's keep the chat to your intro thread :)

Welcome to new members Will Martinez, Mike Niles, Mike Chapman, and Joseph Micciche! Also, we had several expirations so please check the updated membership list for you name!

Thanks Lincoln. Welcome to ONSC!

After a several year absence, glad to finally renew my membership! I think my founding membership expired in 2010, oops. Hope to join up with some of the Charlotte area folks soon!

Welcome to ONSC Nicholas Tuite!
