Pretty cool I guess. Or, you could just not drive like a moron in the first place...

Busy Sun morning sitting out on the front porch, 3 county and one Chesnee cop have gone down our street (dead end) so far this morning. Visiting the wife beating mouth breather at the end of the street, no doubt.

That Crawl Control is pretty ginchy indeed. Kind of takes a lot of the fun out of it though, no?

That was pretty cool.
Takes the fun out of day-to-day wheeling, but digging/pushing someone out of the beach, or a snow bank, because there no tow strap is definitely NOT fun.
To James' point, better to not bury it in the first place, but if you spend any time on the beaches out here, you see it ALL the time.

"Damn it Cletus, she ain't moving!"
"Well, put your foot in it you moron!"

always had a wagon fetish.

Doesn't matter the brand that much, as long as it is RWD/AWD and a stick I want it

Found a shirt a few weeks back that I had to have and it arrived today.

Sorry if you can't see it. Since its Instagram. Not savvy enough to get to the video directly. It's an articulating frame fj45. Pretty awesome.

I took my daughter to Carowinds on Monday. We got there at 10am and walked around a little. My daughter wanted to play some carney games. She tried the rope ladder and did not do so well. We moved on to the wiffle ball game. You have to bank a wiffle ball off an angled board and land it in a basket. I did not expect her to win.....

But she did...

She hit it first try. I had to carry this thing through the park out to the parking lot. If you want some attention, carry around a 4' gorilla.
We get to my truck ('09 Taco access cab). I tried to load it in the bed but it was immediately obvious this would not work. Right then a couple was driving through the lot looking for a parking spot and the husband was laughing his ass off at me.
It ended up in the access cab. I had to slide the seats all the way forward and lean the seat backs forward. We returned to the park and had a blast the rest of the day. On the way home I looked like a grandma sitting so close to the steering wheel.

2 tickets to Carowinds: $90
Carney game: $5
The smile on my daughters face: PRICELESS

Great story. Awesome dad points.

I'm thinking a passenger at Logan's Run ;)

I just about drove the 40 that day. It would have been a lot easier to belt him in to the bench seat with no top on.
Can you imagine the looks on the way home?

That would have been priceless!

Ask anybody with a pulse which of those vehicles they would choose "Um Uh THE YELLOW ONE"!!!!!!!

I was able to have a little fun this evening but, sadly, it was getting dark so pics are lacking.

Had to make a run to SIL's house and the $41K, $34K, $29.5K, $25K 40 was out on display.

What I learned ....

I was running out of light but could not find a single place where the body bolted to the frame. Yep, that's fuel tank.

Speaking of gas tank ..... here's a strap bolt.

The frame is an FJ25 frame that, to be fair, was not in that bad of shape. I was puzzled by the scratches that simply did not look like normal wear. More like it had stuff piled on it in the stock room for 20 years.

Now, of course, I know what you really want to see. You want to see a well done RE-STO-RA-SHUN

And my favorite .... The winch has diamond plate under it. Under the diamond plate were 2 pieces of flimsy channel iron strung between the frame rails. The fairlead was held on using the 2 bolts thru the bumper, nothing else.

Perhaps some more pics if I see it with more light.
