as I can't find any related thread ( less than a year old ) lets comment aout it or any other option .. to ..

thanks !

David

why not ReadyWelder?

For the same money, why not a ReadyWelder? that's what Boots used on his bad a$$ 60-series truck, and he has some AWESOME welds.

Readywelder.com | There's nothing like it!

I'm taking a really hard look at that one... 2 batteries = >400amps. the Premier Power welder you listed puts out less than half of that, and is more expensive than the readywelder.

I own and use both. I have had them since 2002.

They are both great products, and have made a number of repairs both in the field and in camp.

I've got a ReadyWelder and a MobiArc...

honestly, while the ReadyWelder is a great unit, I've rarely used it....carrying that extra hard case, pulling batteries out so you can wire two in series, and fitting the gun into tight spots makes it less than convenient unless you are welding in camp.

The MobiArc on my FJ40 has been used almost every trip...used it again this past weekend to weld up a tie rod on a FJ40 that broke loose.

I went with the bare-bones Mobi....small size, price, easy install....spend $15 at Sears for a soldering iron and you are set. And while welding with a stick isn't as 'easy' as wire, it IS more universal for welding on mixed metals. Add in a battery-powered grinder and you've got enuf tools for trail repair.

I've been thinking about getting one...thanks for the mini-review/testimony Woody.

I have a premier on my 40. Used the tar out of it. It did take some playing with before it was working properly (frustrated trips as well).

I am VERY tempted to put a mobi arc on my 60 to compare them and the pure simplicity...

Thans for all comments .. I was thinking in the MobiArc too .. just like the alt upgrade in the process and the simplucity of the hole kit .. the problem with Premierwelder it's contacting 'em .. I try all, mail, calls, and yester send a Fax with my questions and info and no answer yet .. soo funny .. :D

It drive to me to MoniArc .. and more than the item itself I like customer service, since I'm not always in US it's important to me ..

Looking more deep in it .. which should be a good alternator option to run any welder ( thinking in Mobi now ) I'm thinking in 150 amps .. to adapt anycase.

I just know MeanGreen but not sure if they are as good as it name ..

If you do the MobiArc, you modify your stock alternator...IIRC used a 'standard' CS130 GM alt, stock at 135amp I believe...

I was looking at those models ..

GM Late Model

anyexperience with powermaster .. ?

there is a couple of 200amps ( or aprox ) alt in eBay around 200 bucks ..

Tapage I have a coupon from Premier for 150 bucks off you want it........I will never use it ...good till feb:beer:

Damn .. yes .. damn thanks !

Well for the thread after reading at the web I'm more closer and looks like I will decide for a 47294 140 amps unit ..

I will keep posted ..

No problem Tapage.........like I said hate to see it go to waste plus I enjoy giving stuff away when I can. I also(I should have meantioned) it have a coupon to the same place for a PowerWelder but its only for 50 bucks off.
