Hi all,
Ok, so I did my duty and looked for similar threads and couldn’t find any so if someone knows of one that I missed, flame my a$$ and point me in the right direction...

If not:

I'm a list freak and like to keep things really organized and I'm putting together a good list of tools and extra equipment for my truck. The equipment list is in DAMN good shape, but as I've only had the truck for about a year, I’ve not really developed a good list of tools that the LC needs to have on board at all times. I dont really differentiate between daily driver mode and expeditionary vehicle mode except for camping equipment so the list of tools for a off road trip is what I like to keep in all the time.

So lets hear it. What does everyone keep in there tool bag in the truck. In exchange for some good intel, let me know if your interested in what I consider a pretty good gear list for the truck, and I'll send you the excel spreadsheet of my truck gear. I've put a lot of effort into the list and done a lot of research on what’s good and not so good to keep in your rig.

1. T Y L E R is the only one we allow to use gahye colors in posts.

2. A list of on-board tools has been covered very well in outfitting a couple of times.
....Thread 1
....Thread 2

3. I believe a list of 80 spares has been covered here in the 80 section but that wasn't what you asked about.

Hey - only we are allowed to call you a newbie, flame you and then give you an official mud welcome! :flipoff2: Welcome! :flipoff2: Doing it to yourself first isn't allowed. :flipoff2: Oh and welcome - pics of your truck will be necessary as you will soon find out.

Chris,
You were not flamed. See Chat for a few examples of flaming.

I never suggested that you didn't SEARCH. I subtly tried to point you to a more general forum (Outfitting) where we have covered this in the past. Also, it's probably where a mod will move the post shortly.

I didn't call you a newbie.

The word "dam" is spelled "damn."

I would like for you to add your tool list to "Thread 1" above. I think it will be seen by many and we always need ideas on new toys (aka tools.) Don't point us to a spreadsheet though; post your list directly in the thread.

A simple rule that I learned from my Desert Baja days... If you forget a tool, that will be what breaks. It's one of Murphy's laws.
So learn what you need and always carry it all. Voila! nothing will break!!

Done and Done. Go check out thread 1 from above, my list is there now. If anyone wants the excel spreadsheet let me know. The format is a little better.
thanks for the advice!!!

Chris

Since Junk's busy, I'm more than willing to step in and flame upon request.

:D

Welcome aboard :flipoff2:

Chis, welcome to our humble forum. Thats a very good list, I'm going to steel it and make my check list for my family trips. Thanks for your post.
