About how many miles will the OME shocks last under normal use? I know normal is different for everyone, 80/20 pavement/dirt.

My 96 LX was lifted when I bought it,maybe 15-20k on lift.
Cooper 315 MT are wearing all over the place, they do say Blems on the side wall, not sure if that might be the reason?

Anyone else have problems with Cooper MT?

I just installed the OMEs on my LX450 and don't have enough miles on them to tell you.

I DO, however, have them on my 07 Tundra and have approximately 45k miles on 'em. No signs of them quitting or getting spongy. Could be the stiff coils that help with the rebound though..

Anyway, maybe check your alignment? Could be part of the reason.

I have ~12k on mine and i am looking for replacements....YMMV

mine have pretty hard use to them.

With just about everything, it all depends on how you use your LC.

I cant comment on the service life of the shocks as there are many variables. And i run tjm.

As for your tire wear situation, alignment and/or wheel bearings are what i would assume to be the culprits.

On my '96 LX, I have around 200k miles on my OME stock height springs and shocks. I can't tell any difference from when I first got them. Rides great.

I'm on my second set of OME's . Running a 2 1/2" OME lift kit. Got about 45-50k miles out of the first set. Second set still doing well after about 25k miles. I don't wheel.....yet.

bought a set from slee, within 15k 3 of the 4 had puked their fluid out. once the 4th goes, i'm going fox all around.

What size tire? Do you have it lifted? Did you wheel it for all the 15k miles? What year is your rig?

I have 102,400 miles on mine and my driveway is 1 1/2 miles of steep windy dirt road. They still dampen like new.

Can't comment on OME shocks as I run Bilstein's with my OME coils. Re: Cooper M/T's..... If you are referring to Cooper STT's, I had a set on my 80 in the 285 flavor. They were truly awful in every way. The tread chunked easily, they outer edges cupped even with religious rotation and new TRE's/alignment. They sucked as a mud tire, and overall, they wore very quickly. I dumped my set of five at about 10K miles because I was disgusted with them.

My 2cents----

David. What is the purchase date. The original Nitrochargers had a 24k miles 2 year warrantee. The new ones have 3 year 36k miles warranty.

Christo

i'd have to check receipts, but bought them 3 ish years ago, been blown for the past year. no worries, i wasn't too keen on them from the get go and am going to try fox 2.5s :D
