It's about time I started a build thread. About me, I'm an American expat living in the Philippines. I acquired my 1991 FJ 80 (affectionately coined by my friends as the Scarlet Woman) in April 2011. It was in so-so condition then.

In June 2011 I had a full tune up done; plugs, wires, dizzy cap, pcv valve all OEM toyota. A month after my transmission crapped out on me. A full trans rebuild, xfer case inspection & driveline was done.

The next few months were easy till last year; Valve cover gasket, power window motors.

I had some leaks in the radiator so in July 2012 I had a radiator overhaul along with hoses, clamps, cap.

Fast forward to Feb. 2013. My folks sent me a TJM 2.5" kit from Slee.

Pre Lift

Measurements I took pre-lift were:

Center of Hub to Fender:

PS Rear 20 1/2"
DS Rear 20 1/4"

PS Front 19 3/4"
DS Front 19 1/4"

Ground to Fender
PS Rear 34 3/4"
DS Rear 34 1/2"

PS Front 33 9/16"
DS Front 33 3/16"

Tires are 265/70/16 or 30.6".

Lift Installed!

Measurements taken after lift

Center of Hub to Fender:

PS Rear 23"
DS Rear 23 5/8"

PS Front 22 3/4"
DS Front 22 7/8"

Ground to Fender:

PS Rear 37 1/2"
DS Rear 37 7/8"

PS Front 36 3/4"
DS Front 37 1/8"

With mini 265/70/16. need new tires!!! 285's? 275's?

I had the Land Cruiser lean before, now it has moved to the right side. Lift was installed with taller springs on the left side as marked on the coils.

Good choice on upgrade pare... now get some bigger shoes... 33" at least.

Is that a Gregzigen exhaust?.. How much is the gas price there now?

33"s cost 14-20K each Bridgestone Dueler AT or TOYO OC. I was a couple hours late to buy a set of 4 Dueler AT for only 30K No duratrac here tho

I'm not sure on the exhaust, but it's just the tip. doesn't look like a full exhaust system either. just stock.

Shell V-Power 97 is PHP 54/liter. Just filled up yesterday in Dau.

I don't have the center facing rear seats. I had the third row bench, which i removed for my sub box.

BTW I have a USDM FJ 80.

UPDATE! Feb. 13, 2012

Installed caster correction bushings (TJM). Ride is much more stable and crisp.
Adjusted LPSV, rear brake shoes - Better braking now.
Corner light blinker mod with bnew Lexus tail light sockets. - Pics to come soon.

Still on my to-do list:

• Front Axle Rebuild
• valve adjustment
• fuel sock

Update: Valve adjustment, valve cover gasket & grommets done.

Fuel sock, clip, fuel filter done.

Rear springs swapped to equal lift. Front spacers being made.

The 80 is at my friend's shop waiting for a new alternator and sorting out other issues. Im having battery cables made for use with military battery terminals. Having trouble finding decent quality battery cables. Rebuilt the starter recently.
