I’m still not sure on what lift combination or manufacture . I want to do it once , if I’m doing it I’m doing bumpers at the same time as the lift . I don’t think I need remote reservoirs shocks .
I live on the east coast these days I hit New Jersey pines so its sand and mud towing the bikes and quads . I’m not wheeling or rock climbing a 80k truck I have the quads and lifted bugges for that .
I need the ground clearance for the pines and winch for recovery .
For me I would like 33/34 tire is perfect for me .
I would do a ICON stage 6 but have issues with all the Aluminum components , I like the Total Chaos stuff is all steel and over kill for me .
SPC arms are made in China ?

I did - I ended up going with a lighter Tough Dog spring in the rear until I decide what to do regarding a bumper and\or aux fuel tank. Here's a couple pics...

Do you still like the Dobinson suspension after a few more months? Any concerns or would you have done anything differently?

Here is a side shot of my Dobinson kit that's 50mm Front & Rear... I do personally like maintaining factory rake for loading/ towing purposes. Could not be more pleased with its on road and offload performance for the money. I am running 305/65/18 KO2s

reviving this post mainly for your overall experience with the Dobinson suspension. Almost 3 years later, pro's and cons? Would you have done anything differently?

Yeah, all good. I've got no complaints, really. If I could do it again I would have gone with an adjustable shock so I could soften the ride when I'm not loaded down.

I know this is an older thread, but I have an ignorant question:
What is the difference in the 40mm adjustable vs 45mm adjustable? I assume the 45mm is for heavier loads but I'm not sure.
On the tough dog website, both versions have a light, medium, and heavy option.

I would contact Jason Reeves @ Trail Tailor. He can guild you in the right direction.

The shock tubes are 45mm vs 40mm in size and due to their bigger diameter will be more resistant to heat buildup. I have the adjustable 45mm shocks, they are beefy. Been Using them for the past 35,000 miles with no regrets. The medium rate rear spring are a little on the soft side now that my build is tacking on her winter weight lol. The light, medium, heavy corresponds to the spring rate.
