I just bought an OME suspension kit. I got the heavy front and heavy rear. I probably would have bought the medium rear but got this used and for a good deal. I can still take away some of the leaves in the rear but am curious what it looks like with the heavy front heavy rear. Does it sit ass end up... can anyone please post pics if they have this set up. Oh, and I'm going with 33x12.5.

Did I say pics would be sweet!!!

Thanks.

sorry, no pics. but i do have the heavy front and rear and yes the back end is a bit higher which is better for wheelin' anyways and you can throw a lot of weight in the back and hook on a trailer and it's just fiiiine.

Sorry, no pics on hand (and I dont know how to upload em  ), but I have the heavy's all around on my HJ61 and there is no rake - truck is level or dam near. Heavy's up front mandatory with the diesel, PTO and big diving board bumper. Never ran medium in the rear, but I would think they'd be OK too. Huge improvement over the clapped out stockies thats for sure.

oh yeah mines an hj6o so i don't know if the weight of that engine is different and if it would affect the way it settles on the leafs.

2rivers, I've got the same set up as you... big front bumper with the PTO. I carry a lot of lumber for building, plus bikes off the back and camping gear on road trips... I think the heavy on the rear will be fine, I just wanted second opinions. You're not wrong, the stock suspension has got to go... now just to find the time to do the install. How long did it take you guys?

Book a solid day for it. Come a long is handy. Long pry bar. Floor jack with cement floor. Cut off old u bolt with grinder. Hard work, but saved a bunch of $$ that went to my stereo! :grinpimp:

still, anyone got pics of this set-up.

Thanks

How bout counting the layers in the spring pack. so we can tell what you got. Mine are called "heavy" by some retailers. I just posted up photos of my rig before and after. It's on page 2 now. took me 11 hours. I would not worry about heavy on the rear. I have the "firm" shocks and don't feel like it rides too harsh at all. I expected it to ride like a dumpster with steel wheels. It is just firm not jaring...

That looks sweet. What tires are those and what size? I like the set-up.

i love the setup too. they are cooper stt's fairly new tire out. 33x12.5

I've had the heavy/heavy springs on my FJ62 now for 3years. The rear end is about 1" higher, but I like the look and it serves a purpose. I could get it to sit level with 1000lbs in the back, full tank of gas and a loaded trailer (really, really slow drivin'). Since I went from 31's to 33's it rides a lot smoother with more tire sidewall. By far the money spent on my ride.
