I'm hearing somewhat conflicting opinions on this. I have an HDJ81 from Japan that has had both swaybars removed. I've been told that with an OME lift, I won't miss them that much, if at all, but also heard that they make a huge difference. (I have a botch job Japanese mess right now, lifted rear, part lifted front, no caster correction - want to upgrade). Anyone here have any comments? I do wheel but nothing that would require the extra travel achieved by removing the bars. Most of my distance is done on roads.

of course it will sway somewhat more, but not that much.

liveable.

if you don't like it find a set of sways and bolt them on.

A lot of it depends on your personal tolerance to body lean. On a lighter truck you will miss them less, on a heavily loaded, especially with weight high on the truck, you will miss them more and will probably need them to have a decent handling truck.

I only have my front sway bar...

There was a really long thread on the physics and dynamics of having sway bars on or off from a mailing list archived at this site:

If you scroll down a ways, you will see a link to sway bar discussion.

Really nice discussion that goes on for awhile.

In any event, it should be fine. I like mine without the rear attached.

It's horrible. I'll sell you my front bar for $75 :flipoff2:
