Please help I have swapped om613 in w460 (280GE) chassis. I need to get rid off ESP/ABS this will be a road and off-road vehicle . I have finished the transplant car is drive able but is not shifting gear no speedometer reading as I have no ABS wheel sensor rings .I'm planning to take it test in desert in liwa very soft sand desert.
Donor was e320cdi 2000 w210.026
7226.transmission..
My email is fkhawajah@outlook.com
I would really appreciate advise help.

Hey Faisal, did you do a complete wiring from the donor w210 ? Are you using a stand alone controller for the 722.6 transmission ?

Yes I will take a picture of oil pan and axle clearance. Right now having a bit problems with clutch. Tried to to donuts and seems like I killed the disk :( disk is slipping.

Can you point us to a resource for wiring diagrams for this family of engines?

Yes we are progressing. Had to replace the clutch disk as we killed it trying to do "donuts". Right now relocating ECU into the cabin into the place of glove compartment. A lot of soldering and crimping.

Faisal, the ecu can be done in any configuration you want but this is ain't cheap. Ready to drop in ECU for 613 varies between 1000-1200$ depending on the works performed on it. Send me a PM with what exactly you want. Please bear in mind it was done not by us, so I will just forward your requirements to the guys who does it. It depends on a lot of small factors. And main thing is what mapping you require.

It is too cold to work on it right now, but it is ready to move and face the trials.
Video will follow as soon as it will get a bit warmer

It runs with no issues, no limping mode, no loss of power. All systems work fine. To win all these issues we lost a lot of sweat and tears :)

Now we need to start assemble the engine bay, it is too cold right now. :)

I watched your videos with the OM648 swap. Very interesting.

What I'd like to do is build a Mercedes "S320 CDI" like you all have in Europe, because sadly they didn't import them into North America. To do that, I'd want to use an S-class W220 body with a bad engine, using the 722.6 transmission, and source an E320 CDI long block here. The reason I'd have to use an OM648 is that those are the only engines that we're legally allowed to use here, as OM613's were also (sadly) never imported.

It appears that your custom OM648 ECM might work well for this purpose. What are your thoughts about the feasibility of such a project?

Thanks sfliberal!

You can actually downgrade 648 down to 613 They are similar engines the difference is only:

1. ECU
2. High pressure pump
3. Injectors
4. Oil sump and oil pickup

The most headache is the EGR on 648. As soon as you downgrade it to 613 it will be no problem anymore.

Regrading the swap of diesel into petrol car I need to gather some information and will let you know what components you need and what needs to be modified. People here do not usually do such swaps as it is cheaper to sell the car and buy a diesel one.

On most continents, I would take the same route, i. e. just sell the car and buy a Diesel one. They're all over the place for cheap in, for example, the UK. North American governments, it seems, have an allergic reaction to Diesel *cars*, though not Diesel *trucks*. Go figure. So, that's why I have to take the "FrankenBenz" way.

BTW, I just realized you're in Kazakhstan. I remember one of my professors being from there--pretty cool guy.

You do not really need to build a "FrankenBenz" as MB used to make w220s diesel versions. So what you need to do is to compare diesel version vs gas and replace unnecessary components.

Progress report, OMJ-80 is on daily run. Fuel consumption figures are great as well as torque characteristics. As usual, with any swap there are small details which are need to be furnished.

I NEED YOUR HELP!
I swap an OM613 from a Mercedes w210 2000 model to G 1993.i did a custom wiring and i left only the engine ecu.I put an immo emulator on the ecu without success.the engine start, run for 1 second and stops. For the transmission i am using a stand alone ecu that can work separate.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT SHOULD BE WRONG?

I was interested in purchasing this ecu for use in a OM613 marine engine project and tried to PM Tugarin, but his inbox is full. Tugarin, if you get time to PM me, that would be great.

Heres my new project! Shes getting an om648 Heart! Would love some nudges in the right direction!

What kind of transmission you will use? What purpose?
Easiest way now is OM613 - they have immo solution and flash without MAF,EGR,Flaps and over limp and limits modes.
OM648 in closer time we will put into RX-8.
May soon work with flash on it.
At now i have flash solution for OM628(CRV2),613,611

Unfortunately I have already purchased the om648.

I plan to us a variant of the 722.6

I would like to find an W5A580 4x4 version. I am not sure if I would need a stand alone TCU or if I can just use the factory TCU from the 2005 Mercedes E-320 cdi
