Trevor

Yep it's Rob :grinpimp: I remember meetin ya :bounce:

So, what's up w/ the shocks?

I'll guess a packed out shock tower to clear the standard steering setup from the SOA conversion?

yeaaap the shocks were mounted in a hack-job postition.... Have some bilsteins sitting in the garage gathering dust, Like I said, thsi thing was pretty ghetto when we got it, still trying to de-ghettofy it.

Looks good, the neighbors get used to it after a while.

The cage looks awesome. That 40 is coming alot. Much better than the last time i was over there.

I am really suprised your naighbors dont hate you. At least you dont have the gooseneck in the street lol

Thanks Garrett, I think my dad's gonna take your advice on the FJ80 steering box... Gotta find one now! Little by little... The steering absolutly blows though--and the clutch died this weekend while wheelin so now I gotta pick up a new clutch from Molle Toyota... We'll get that in before the Kansas Krawl at Tuttle Creek in a week and a half...

SWEET more of dad's stuff to work on and less buggy time for me! great how that works! lol.

Rob, I'm sure you have a local hook up at your Toyota dealer, but since your post count is low, I thought I'd check to see if you know about CDan.

No I don't know about CDan, tell me more! I've already paid for the parts so maybe next time I can go through him.

Cruiser Dan is the parts god on this site. He generally has the best prices anywhere for Toyota OEM parts. He is the parts department manager at American Toyota in Albequerque, NM.

His phone number is 1800 432 6668 ext. 8 (from memory :D )

Call him up and tell him you're from 'mud and he'll hook you up. To give you an idea, his quotes are generally 1/2 of what my local dealer wants to charge me for things. In one instance it was cheaper/faster to have Dan overnight me something via UPS than to buy it from my local dealer. Dan is the man :D

The box was a 60 box, and it was fullnelson on here who did the swap. I also think that Sarfari Ltd in Grand Junction has done one or two of them too.

Hey, at least you get to wheel your dad's rig!
