I've owned several H1's and the 2004 is the best bang for your buck. You get the good Turbo Diesel, nice leather interior, and all the issues have been addressed in the 2004 & 2006 models.
The H1 was taken to Benzin Motor Works Tulsa, OK and the entire truck was gone through, serviced, and upgraded, $20k+ spent on upgrading the front end, brakes, etc. A/C blows cold and engine runs great. All fluids changed yearly. Everything was checked by certified H1 experts at Benzin Motorworks. The truck has never been off-road or abused, and has been adult owned since new. The turbo diesel is the later serial number that doesn’t have any known issues like the earlier year models. Always garaged kept. Dual diesel tanks.
Truck was shipped to Predator, and everything was professionally installed by their technicians. Truck was shipped to Starwood Motors in Dallas to have their Kevlar Paint put on in Custom Bentley Gray aka Gunmetal Gray. They did the door jams and installed the nylon spacers between the wagon top to prevent know rust issues. Runs and drives better than new. Never had a check engine light or any codes. I hate to sell it, I just have way too many toys.

$188k (I've seen several so called 'search and rescue' H1's sell over over $220k and aren't as well equipped. The truck can be put back to stock for the collectors. The kevlar can be stripped and painted back to the original color (Black) if you are a collector. I have all OEM manuals, radio, etc.
