Okay the front Bumper cover is made out of cheese, but I don't want a dark vader

Metal bumper eather..

Any aftermarket choice that make the cruiser look kind of stock or at least not to menesing (even gusset beams to increase the rigidity of the POS plastic cover..

Plus I don't really want to destroy any other object and/or person I touch (if that moment ever comes)

Yes I accept it this is going to be a mall crawler/soccer dad taxy, I have plenty of motorcycles to do silly stuff.

Totally unacceptable, I was not even moving at 3 miles per hour and then the bumper bend took with it the piece of trim with it and part of the fender too..

The ARB is a great compromise and a proved product

Just get a new bumper.
I'm sure them must be hundreds of Bumper covers gathering dust, since so many people install aftermarket/DIY bumpers, I'm just piss this plasticky bumper is such a joke and it damage so many parts in the process of deflexion...

I have not seen any good looking after market bumpers
It does not need to be "Good looking" just not part of the "Death race 2000".

Actually I love stuff like this but my wife will not be to happy about the "personalization" and as you know "Happy wife, happy life"

Maybe contact one of the bumper manufacturers and ask about fabricating a legitimate cow pusher? They aren't in my cup of tea looks wise, but one actually made of some structural steel tube would serve the purpose you're looking for without taking too much away from the OEM look. The off the shelf units are made of such thin steel they would only be damage multipliers.

I would start with @benc @4x4labs @sleeoffroad or Bump It Off-Road

I would suggest buying a used bumper off of ebay.

And consider having your bumpers color matched to the rest of the car to look more modern. That way you can buy a bumper that is straight but has paint defects or damage. Here is a pic of mine with monochromatic black paint scheme. Looks much different (to me) than it originally did with gray bumpers and side trim.

Not sure if any after market bumper will look "kinda stock." I'd place a wanted ad for an OEM bumper in the classifies. Maybe someone near you has one laying around.

It's "Darth" btw. ;)

That one isn't made anymore. @LandCruiserPhil can give you the details but there are details in that thread.

I understood that the T-17 either wasn't being made, or wasn't being imported by TJM. I also understood from that thread that someone (not TJM) was trying to make a batch of reproductions of the T-17, here in the US.

I'm pretty sure the dissent bumpers are still being made.

My bad, misread. Too early here.

For the topic I personally like the Blueberry.

The most subtle aftermarket bumper I've seen and available is like what @Manhattan has by Dissent.

Ben at Dissent Offroad builds some amazing stuff. A simple - no hoop - bumper, powdered to match (OE bumper color and black) ties the bumper in pretty well. Doesn't look stock. But doesn't look like "Dark Vader" (not sure what that is ;) ) either.

Oh Ricky Likes...

Classy but spunky at the same time...

Since the mini crash I was thinking of extending the wings of the metal inner stock bumper, so the corners actually had some support, but something like this bumper is far more attractive.

Is Dissent a vendor here..??

Yes. @benc

Dissent offroad modular front bumper

There are time I wish someone would crack my front OEM bumper. Nothing hard, but just enough damage to justify a metal bumper.
Me too, Now I need somebody to crash into my rear bumper so I can get a matching pair, This bumpers are a thing of beauty, internal structures/reinforcements and gussets instead of this massive plates, plus they are slim, tons of clearance and just pretty to look at..

Thank you guys for all the advice..

There was an OE aluminum bullbar offered in Australia. You can find them all day long on eBay as many upgrade to heavier duty units. If you know anybody out there that will ship you one. Just make sure it is the IFS version...

as i was scrolling all i could think was @Manhattan 's setup of the dissent to suit your desire. Ben is awesome to work with, and if you ever decided you wanted to add a bar or full wrap around (see my avatar) it's a simple bolt on.

looks like you have the same color scheme as me. i have a powder coat color code that is a 99% match to the bumper color if you want to retain stock two tone color scheme but for some reason it isn't letting me upload the image right now.
