There is a mark about 1/4 way up the scale (I think from memory!).
With fresh oil my 12h-t sites just above the mark, but when the oil is old is sits virtually right on the mark (that's while driving).
When idling (once the engine is warm) the needle drops right down, but when cold I think that it can sit near that mark!

12H-T is basically the same engine as the 2H but direct injection, and turbo.
Mine has travelled over 503000 km's.

stock oil pressure sender isn't very accurate. I feel much better with a guage that reads pressure directly instead of using an electrical sender.

2 votes for this option ..

I have a 2H engine with my HJ-60 and for your references good oil press sit around 62 PSI at 2000 rpm with operative temp ( 82ºC )

Almost same with mine but somewhat different.
When my 3F is cold and idling, the needle indicates middle level of guage but when hot and idling, it drops to bottom.
And if start to run, needle go to middle.
I don't know whether it is rigit or not.
I use 5W40 motor oil all around year.

Oh, Min Seok
