"The aftermarket gasket we sell is a single piece oil pan gasket which for us in our restorations has been a better gasket.
The OEM gasket is a 4 piece gasket that you have to piece together.

This isn't right. The OEM is a 1 piece gasket.

My write up, pre camera days, so no picks, sorry. The fel-pro plastic parts are called snap-ups.

Actually, IIRC, back in the day, there was a 4-piece OEM Toyota oilpan gasket...it was a PIA

Was the 4 piece or 1 piece installed at the factory? I replaced what I assumed was the original gasket on my 77 and I'm pretty sure it was 1 piece.

Correct. There used to be a 4 piece gasket (part # 12151-60021) that has now been superseded by the single piece.

EDITED:

The parts Catalog I have shows a one piece gasket ** MY BAD!, it's actually a 4 piece**, will upload picture tomorrow.

Here ¡s the gasket as it appears on the 1965 Toyota parts catalog, it shows a four piece Oil Pan Gasket with multiple parts number:

LEFT HAND GASKET #12151-60010
RIGHT HAND GASKET #12152-60010
FRONT AND REAR GASKET #12153-60010
