Oil light randomly on (1 Viewer)

Driving the 93 the other day the oil light came on for about 5 seconds and then went off. This happened within 10 minutes of starting the motor. The oil pressure gage was reading as normal the whole time the light was on. I stopped and checked the oil level... but everything looked fine. It's done it several times since then, agian usually soon after starting the rig up. the motor has 240k on it but run strong and smooth. Should I take it in and have the codes read or something? I'm real good with my 2f in my 40.. no check engine lights, just oil,coolant and vac gages and knowing every sound the rig makes and I'm fine. These new fangled things drive me nuts. Should I be terribly worried?

That is an oil level warning light. your oil level is low or you have a problem in the warning circuit.

I had the same issue the week before my motor started making a racket.

Not to scare you, but $2500 later, I have a rebuilt 1fzfe.
