After driving for about 10 minutes. Oil was last changed about 5K miles ago. Haven't checked the level just yet but have noticed no leaks. Any cause for concern? Thanks.

Next time this happens check the level before asking this question or I'll have to drive up to Cornelius and punch your dip stick.

I knew that was coming. :flipoff2:

Actually I was on my way to my man to get he oil changed and a couple other little things checked out...and it was raining! ;p

Plus...I haven't posted in a while and was hoping someone would scream OMG HEAD GASKET@#$#@%@#% or some such.

Omg Head Gasket@#$#@%@#% :D

If mine drops to the lower half of the acceptable range on the dipstick the oil light will behave the same as you've described. When it happens, it's always at the same place on my way to work in the AM, usually when it's about time to change the oil. Sensor may be a bit sensitive as well. I have a feeling if I stopped using Toyota labeled oil and went to synthetic I wouldn't use as much oil.
