That's my current thought...I would like to verify my suspicions tho....It could be worse.....It could be MY truck :D

I don’t see radial oil streaks on the flywheel, I would think that is a pan arch leak.

My 80 does have these radial streaks leading me to believe that I have a rear main leak,

Prolly a pan arch.

I think it's funny we all crack on rovers for leaking and there is no denying that cruisers leak a good bit too. I would bet that 90% of board members have something leaking on their cruiser.

It is somewhat funny but as an owner of a '67 rover and a '94 cruiser I can assure you that you are talking about orders of magnitude in difference. one could desccribe a cruiser leak as a weep....A rover? a Torrent would prolly be about the adjective of choice. :D

Take this posts advice: Replace the gaskets.

What I did was to start from the top and work your way down.

Valve cover
side cover gasket (if you have a 3FE)
oil pan gasket
Then finally, if all else falses
Rear main seal.

Good luck

Check the valve cover too, I have seen rear valve cover leaks contribute a lot of oil to a drip in that area.

Agreed and often over looked........
many have found the the bolts finger tight.....

I have a rear seal leak, and it looks like I have a slight oil pan gasket leak now. I'll get at them someday. My next thing to look at is the PS gearbox is leaking PS fluid.
