Hi all. So today, I decided to tackle the CDL sensor as the dash light for it was not coming on. I removed the sensor, pretty easy, and noticed oil in the connector. I thought this was really odd. I don't know how oil could end up in there. I also saw that the plunger part worked fine. Nothing defective. I cleaned both sides with MAF cleaner, let it dry and reinstalled it. Viola! It worked. I didn't have any dielectric grease handy but I figure I can do that later.
Good news, it was an easy fix. Certainly something for anyone else having this issue to look for. But I'm still confused about the oil being in there. Has anyone else had this happen? Or have any idea why it would happen?
