Quick Help: Oil Cooler Hose Diameter for hose clamp purchase

Would 3/4 - 1 1/8" hose clamps work on hose numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5?

Or do I want the next size bigger (1 1/16-1 1/2")?

I don't physically have the hoses, they are en route and I'm basing my guess off eyeballing the ones currently attached, so if anyone knows more exact, that would be great.

Hose I.D. is 5/8"

So you want clamps that will fit 1/2"-7/8" I.D., but there are other ranges that will fit. Last I got were SAE #10 clamps.

So my best bet is prob the 11-17mm ones based on what they have to offer? Or will that be cutting it pretty close?

I just can't pass up free crap, I just don't know what free crap to get.

I dunno - are those inside or outside diameter? Just ask SOR for clamps to fit the oil cooler hoses.

Yeah, most of the time their operators seem to know their stuff, maybe I just got the one guy that didn't know anything, but I did ask and he didn't really sound very convincing with his best guess.

Well, I gotta make the order so you think I should just wait till I have it taken apart and take the hoses and buy the clamps from NAPA or autozone or whatever...???

I just replaced all mine and used Size 10, 1/2 inch wide, 12-27 mm long clamps from Napa like Spike said. The hoses are 5/8 inch diameter.

The

should work for you.
